Editorial

Reading the contributions for this latest issue again makes me enthusiastic about the diversity and underlying unity behind the various forms of energy work, as well as the connections that can be made with and between the different worlds we inhabit in our day to day life.

Lorna McNeur explores the interface of bodies, space and architecture as she sees it expressed in CBPC. With a background in architecture and body psychotherapy she is well placed to offer some fascinating insights.

Jo Green writes movingly about the integration of biodynamic massage, healing and authentic movement in her work with clients presenting with a wide range of issues.

Further contributions include a report on this year’s ‘Breath of Life’ conference, attended by Sue Frazer and Brett Walwyn; a reflection by Carlien van Heel on ‘Gerda Day’, a celebration of the life of Gerda Boyesen; and Hartmut Wuebbeler and Carlien van Heel on LSBP’s biodynamic massage clinic.

On a more reflective note, news of the sudden death of Sally Byford a few weeks ago was received with much sadness by her friends, colleagues and many clients. A well known and respected therapist, she will be sorely missed by many.

For those of you who think positions held in AHBMT are forever, think again! After thirteen years, I’ve decided to step down and let someone else have a go. Throughout the years I have always had superb assistance from printing editors, but I’d like to say a special thank you to Vicki Martin for her enthusiasm, energy and support in making the journal stand out from the (professional) crowd.

Items for the next issue should be sent to Vicki by 31st January 2008.
