I am excited and pleased to be the new editor despite stepping into Chris' shoes and being more than a little in awe of her work for the Journal over the last thirteen years! I have already experienced the warmth and hard work of the Committee as well as the dynamic support of Vicki as printing editor and so I am looking forward to the challenges of my new role. In this edition you are introduced to the new committee and invited to think about how you can contribute to the Journal yourself by submitting articles, letters, reviews or even essays that you have written during periods of study which may be of interest to the rest of us. Have you ever considered this? I know from my own time as a student that peers of mine wrote some wonderful essays and it was a rare joy when we received copies. There is a wealth of knowledge, diversity and critical insight amongst biodynamic massage practitioners (students as well as the newly qualified and the experienced) and I am very keen that we should dare to share our work, observations and questions - the things which thrill us and those which challenge us. If you are thinking about this but unsure, I will be glad to discuss ideas and submissions with you. Included in this Spring edition are also a report from the October AGM which contains a summary of the PR report commissioned from Julie Varanfrain, feedback from the conference 'The Power of Touch' attended by Brett and Sue Frazer and information from BCMA about voluntary self regulation. This is important as developments will affect us all in the coming years. Lastly I would like to encourage you to attend the Spring Meeting in April in London and I look forward to meeting many of you there. Deadline for the next issue is the end of August.
